I. Lý thuyết nghữ pháp về cấu trúc Thì hiện tại đơn
SIMPLE PRESENT STRUCTURE
Subject + Base Verb + Object

Câu khẳng định: S + V(s/es) + (O)
Nếu chủ ngữ là ngôi thứ 3 số ít (He, She, it) thì thêm s/es sau động từ (V)
Vd :
+ I use internet everyday.
+ She often goes to school at 7 o’ clock.
+ He goes to school.
Với chủ ngữ “he”, “she” và “it” ta sử dụng động từ chia theo ngôi thứ 3 (third-person verb). Khi chia động từ ta thêm “s” hoặc “es” vào sau động từ đó.
1. Base Verb ——– play, live, run
2. 3rd Person Verb ——– plays, lives, runs
Dưới đây là các ví dụ cho thấy sự khác biệt của động từ khi theo sau các chủ ngữ:
I like pizza.
You like pizza.
He likes pizza.
She likes pizza.
It likes pizza.
We like pizza.
They like pizza.
Câu phủ định: S + do not/don’t + V + (O)
Vd :
I don’t think so
She does not like it
Examples:
I do not like pizza.
She does not play baseball.
Câu nghi vấn: (Từ để hỏi +) Do/does + S + V + (O)?
Vd: What does she do?
(Từ để hỏi +) Don’t/doesn’t + S + V + (O)?
Vd: Why don’t you study Enghlish ?
(Từ để hỏi +) Do/does S + not + V + (O)?
Vd: Why does she not goes to beb now?

Bài 3: Nghe và điền vào chỗ trống với bài hát I’m Like A Bird – Nelly Furtado.
Trong bài hát sử dụng nhiều ví dụ về động từ tobe. Đây là một số ví dụ:
“Tôi giống như một con chim” – “I’m like a bird”
“Tình yêu của tôi là đúng” – “My love is true”
Trong bài có rất nhiều ví dụ được viết dưới dạng ngắn gọn như:
You are = You’re
I am = I’m
It is = It’s
Do not = Don’t
